Interior decorating is not regulated by law, meaning no education or training is required, so most working decorators are NOT formally educated in design. Would you trust your home or wallet to someone who didn't go to school for their trade? Neither would I. That's why I spent thousands of dollars to acquire formal certification and specialized training, including that which was taught to me by renowned interior designer, Ron Renner, one of the nations first NCIDQ licensed designers, the founder of C.I.D. and co-founder of A.S.I.D.
